This beautiful dog is the epitome of friendliness and happy demeanour. They are super active and used quite often as game dogs as they have soft mouths perfect for carrying small things rather delicately. Their sweet and joyful temperament makes them perfect family dogs that are quite good with children. They are quite clingy and might have separation anxiety which is why they tend to imprint on one of the family members more than anyone else. They also need exercise as they tend to gain weight and be destructive or have rage syndrome. So it is very important to keep them busy. A lot of these cuties are working dogs and their retrieving skills are so good that they attain training as hunting dogs. Their long lanky ears are adorable and give them a very approachable look.

This uber adorable Chinese dog breed is famous for its extra fluffy double coat and grey/blue tongue and lips. They are as proud as a lion and have a thick mane like a tiny but mighty lion as well. Their temperament is rather reserved and stubborn and they don’t mingle a lot. This of which is why it is important to socialise them from the beginning itself. One of the reasons why they might seem a little aggressive is this behaviour towards strangers but you need to earn their admiration to be their friend.  Chow Chows are fiercely loyal and believe in giving respect to only those people who are worth their affection. Might proud, eh?

This feisty dog is famous for being loud and sassy and doesn’t know how tiny it is(most tiny dogs have big personalities). They are registered as the smallest dog in the world and come in two variants based on their shape of the head. Their defensive behaviour is rather due to their small size and they feel pretty cold due to their short-coated fur and love to cuddle with humans, other dogs or get wrapped in warm clothes and blankets. They are so tiny, a lot of humans carry them in their bags or arms. This breed is very much susceptible to tooth problems and a lot of care has to be taken for the same. They are good for families that have grown up kids as they might be a tad bit handful with young kids.

Dachshund

The famous sausage dog is a tiny ball of energy that loves chasing small animals as they are excellent hunting dogs. They are small but sturdy and love affection from the people they imprint on. They do tend to get a tad bit aggressive and this is the reason people consider them less friendly. But this can be changed if they are socialised from puppyhood. Their unique appearance has earned them the name of weiner dogs. Lack of exercise may lead to a breed that is destructive and rather rude with strangers. Due to their small size, it is important to keep them active as obesity may harm their tiny legs. They are perfect for burrow hunting as they can get inside small holes and burrows.

Their intelligent and friendly disposition makes them perfect for babies. They are super athletic and their body size and shape is lean and agile with slender legs and strong shoulders. A lot of these dogs are prone to deafness due to their genetic constitution. They became famous after the oh-so-popular 101 Dalmatians movie franchise. Since then, their playful behaviour and loyal companionship are revered all over the world. This makes the Dalmatians one of the most popular dog breeds from A-Z category.

These smart dogs require professional training so as to sharpen their alertness and agility. They are usually black in colour with a hint of brown colour on their ears, eyes and mouth. Dobermans do tend to become aggressive if not trained well and need a lot of exercises. They usually have lean sturdy bodies. Docking their tails and boxing their ears is a usual practice but has been criticised by a lot of experts. They are usually fiercely loyal and imprint on their owners quite easily. It is important to keep in mind that they might be a tad bit aggressive for families with kids.
